Vaillant 0020266328: The Same Cooling Plug, Without the Box
The same blue plug as the boxed 0020269259 — Vaillant bag, smaller price
Vaillant 0020266328 is a genuine Vaillant coding plug supplied in a Vaillant small-parts bag, labelled with its part number. Nothing on the pack says “cooling” — but the plug inside is the same blue cooling plug Vaillant sells boxed as 0020269259, “Coding plug, cooling function”. That is why it does the same job for a fraction of the price.

What 0020266328 is
Part 0020266328 is a genuine Vaillant coding plug: a small blue plug on a white two-pin connector, with a resistor inside. It comes new in a Vaillant small-parts bag, with the part number and barcode on the label.
The bag does not describe what the plug does. That is the only real difference from the boxed 0020269259, which carries Vaillant’s “cooling function” wording.
The same plug as 0020269259
The two part numbers have been compared side by side: same blue plug, same connector, same internal stamping. They are functionally identical and interchangeable — what this site calls Verified Dual-MPN.
So 0020266328 does exactly what 0020269259 does: fitted to an aroTHERM Plus supplied without cooling, it unlocks the cooling option for an installer to switch on.
Why it costs less
You are not paying for the box or the label. On eBay the bagged 0020266328 costs a fraction of the price of the boxed 0020269259 — for the same plug.
Which heat pumps it is for
It is listed for the aroTHERM Plus range: VWL 35/6, VWL 55/6, VWL 75/6, VWL 105/6 and VWL 125/6. Some aroTHERM Split installations use it too. For any other model — including earlier aroTHERM units and ground-source flexoTHERM or flexoCOMPACT units — check your installer manual or ask a Vaillant-approved installer before ordering.
